One poll of Lutherans shows that only 12% active church-going Lutheran talk about Jesus with their family. Why do you think this is?

Why was Jeremiah reluctant to respond to God’s call?

In what ways do you relate to Jeremiah’s initial hesitation to God calling him?

Jeremiah doesn’t record his change of mind, but he did serve as a prophet for 40 years. What made Jeremiah change his mind? What reassurances did God give Jeremiah?

How do the reassurances that God gave Jeremiah (and Moses, Joshua, Isaiah, etc.) help you in your life and walk with God?

What are some ways that God equips us?
