A prayer based on Colossians 1:9-13 

God, thank you that you have delivered me/us from darkness into light though the work of your beloved Son, Jesus Christ. I/we pray that I/we will know your will, that I/we would be filled with spiritual wisdom and understanding. Lord, may the Holy Spirit help me/us to walk in a manner that is pleasing to you. In my/our lives may` I/we bear fruit in every good work and increase in knowledge of you. May I/we be strengthened with all power by the Holy Spirit and be have endurance and patience to live in this world. Thank you that you have chosen me/us and you have forgiven my/our sins. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
